Tall Gates are available in heights of 36 - 54". Gates from 36-42" in height will be built in our mission gate style, with widths of 24-66" in one and two-door models.

Gates taller than 42" and up to 54" tall will have a double decker construction, for added strength. Their widths are NO WIDER than 34" and come only in one-door models.

Constructed in poplar with slatted design suitable for modern and traditional decors. Available unfinished or in 31 stain choices. ..learn more.. We can provide all Minwax water and oil-based stains sealed in satin polyurethane.

Mount anywhere! In doorframes, between posts, or even in passageways or stairs ..how?.. Our gates can hinge directly to a doorframe or to a post with a flat surface for a hinge.

Have drywall or plaster? We can provide wall planks with pre-drilled screw holes. Just anchor these planks to a stud behind your wall, and hinge your gate to the plank.

Have baseboards? Planks are 3/4 inches deep, so they also allow your gate to fit between your baseboards as long as they are 3/4 inch or less in thickness.

You pick the slat spacing - from 2 to 5 inches between slats

Delivered fully assembled. We provide pre-mounted surface bolt latch. You attach the brass hinges and (optional) caster..explain.. Our hinges are self-mortised for a thin profile. You simply screw them on.

We provide only the simpliest of latches. Dozens of choices are at your home hardware store. The hook-and-eye latch should be replaced with a safety latch of your choosing if young children are present.

The caster is provided only to help prevent long-term wear on the hinges. It is useful if you have large dogs or children who might swing on the gate.

Gate Pricing

Gate Pricing up to 42". Tall gates up to 42" range from $124 to $167 depending on width. These gates are built in our Mission Style.

Gate Pricing over 42" to 54". Extra tall pet gates over 42" tall to 54" tall use a double-decker construction.

They retail for $215 in poplar ($225 for gate heights 50" and over). Not available in pine due to large size of gate; stronger poplar is recommended. One wall plank is free (if needed); two planks add $8. Staining with a satin finish adds an additional $39. This gate cannot be acquired in all white. If you want white slats with the rest of the gate stained, add an extra $20 (on top of the $39 stain pricing).

Have dogs and cats? Add a cat opening for $10 to any tall gate.
