Gates2U Return PoliciesGates are personalized custom items and are not returnable. Gate orders are not entered until the customer approves their design (if requesting a design diagram), or their order (if specifying their measurements themselves), and remits payment. Prior to remitting a form of payment, there is no order, just a pending order. Any pending order may be cancelled should you not wish to proceed. In fact, if you take no action, we will "close out" your pending order within 7-15 days in our records. You will be sent a courtesy email notifying you that your request will be kept on file. We ship our gates with UPS. If an order is refused at its destination, shipping charges are non refundable. If a customer refuses a package, they will be charged for any charges we incur in having the packages returned to us. If a customer refuses a personalized non-refundable item (such as our gates), they cannot receive any credits by simply refusing the delivery, and they will incur an additional charge for any return fees we incur after the package is refused. The refused package shall remain in the possession of Hebell LLC until such time as the customer remits payment reimbursing Hebell LLC for all previous costs plus coverage of costs for us to send the item(s) again. If payment is not received within 15 days of the first failed delivery, then the item is forfeited. Shipping charges are non refundable. Hebell LLC will accept returns on gates should they not be built to specification. This has not happened at any time from 2004 - 2009. We take considerable care in measuring every gate before delivery. We will work those cases with you on a case-by-case basis to fix your problem or deliver a gate with the correct configuration as specified in your design diagram. Gates damaged by transit by UPS should not be returned. Our damage rate in transit is under 2% - damage is very rare. Instead, allow us to work the process of replacing your gate with UPS, our claims processing agent. ANY DAMAGE NOTED DURING TRANSIT MUST BE REPORTED within 48 hours after you have received the gate. If the damage is minor, we are very happy to work with customers who want to keep the gate, but want a credit for the blemish.
