Lead Time on Materials and Time to Shipment

Gates ship 2 weeks after design approval. Unfinished gates, however, usually ship considerably earlier, generally in 9 days. (The additional time is required for stained and finished gates to dry before crating). Gates ship to the continental USA, Hawaii, Alaska, and Canada. Gates are shipped based on their dimensional weight, as defined by the size of the box, per UPS regulations. Drop-off services available to zip codes starting with 214,216 and 199. Other delivery and lead times are as shown on the web site. Gates are shipped insured for their full value. 

Damages

Customer must notify Gates2U within 48 hours after receipt, if any problems occurred in transit. In the very unlikely case of damage in transit, we use UPS as our claims agent. We work with UPS to get your gate completely replaced if it is damaged in transit. Check your gate promptly upon its arrival. You have 48 hours after arrival to call us so we may coordinate with UPS so they may view the damage and initiate a claim for replacement.

Who is Gates2U

Gates2U is a tradename of Hebell LLC. We have been building gates since 2003, and shipping them nationally since 2004. Hebell LLC is a registered Maryland corporation in good standing, and insured through Avon-Dixon Agency, Easton, MD. Hebell LLC is proud to be a member of the Caroline County Chamber of Commerce.

What Our Carpenters Build To

If you have requested a design diagram, the diagram that you finally approve, after any amendments that you request, will serve as the Master Document used by our carpenters. If you have not requested a design diagram, but have provided us with sizing and spindle or slat information, then your order form, with its specifications, serves as your Master Document. No order actually exists until you approve your design or order form by signature or voice authorization, and remit a form of payment. Your approved design diagram or order form supersedes any previous e-mails or previous editions of the design or any DRAFT orders. We commit to building to the specifications in your order. The customer is solely responsible for specification of the gate parameters, measurements, and finishes, in their design diagram or order.

GATES ARE NONRETURNABLE AND NONREFUNDABLE since they are custom items. Review your design diagram or order specifications with care. Hebell LLC bears NO RESPONSIBILITY for whether the gate will fit or mount into your gate area.

Payment Methods. How can I pay for my order?

We gladly accept Visa and MasterCard and Discover, by banks within the United States. Cards are not charged until the order is received and we start to cut the wood or stain the wood for your gate. At that point, the wood cannot be returned to inventory. We accept credit card payment information by fax, our order-by-phone line, or by mail. Similarly, you may use PAYPAL for payment. Paypal will send you an invoice, so you may pay via Paypal. The Paypal invoice will reference the order you have submitted to us.

Orders paid by company check or personal check or money order may incur additional delays. Such orders will not be processed until the check clears. In addition, you will be required to sign a separate sales order indicating your acceptance of the item and pricing. This must be faxed back to us at 443-926-9310. All credit card orders are subject to verification and approval by the card-issuing bank. For your protection, credit card orders shipped to an address other than your billing address may require additional verification. Cards failing address verification may be cancelled, and, if shipped, will be required to have a signature for delivery. Sales Tax. Sales tax on material sales applies to clients with physical locations or billing addresses in MD only. In-store pickups incur sales tax.

Pricing Errors. Hebell LLC reserves the right to fix typos or pricing errors that may occur on the web site, including the right to cancel a sale. If a pricing error occurs the customer will be presented with a revised invoice, with the option to proceed or cancel.

Liability

The customer is solely responsible for the suitability, fit, operation and maintenance of their gate. Gates2U bears no liability for the function and operation of the gate.  Customer accepts all responsibility for the installation and fit of their gate. Custom accepts all responsibility for upgrading the latch to meet any safety requirements that they may have. Customer accepts that Gates2U makes no representation of suitability of this gate for any application. The customer is solely responsible for the safety and maintenance of this gate. This gate is a standard architectural product and not certified by any 3rd-party safety or juvenile testing agency. Customer releases Hebell LLC from any and all liability associated with use of this gate. By ordering, customer agrees to limit any claims against Hebell LLC (Gates2U) to no more than the purchase price of the gate, before shipping and sales tax.
